NIDA is one of the newer Korean skincare names to land in South Africa, and it has arrived with an unusually complete range for a young brand — fourteen products covering cleansing, toning, treatment, moisturising and sun care. The thinking behind it is refreshingly plain: hydrate properly, look after the barrier, and add one targeted active at a time.

Who is NIDA?
NIDA is a Korean skincare brand built around effective everyday formulas rather than complicated rituals. Its range leans on familiar K-beauty ingredients — centella, rice bran, peptides, propolis, niacinamide and salmon PDRN — in lightweight textures, with fragrance-free options for skin that reacts easily. Because the line covers every routine step, you can build a full routine from one brand without guessing at compatibility.
The NIDA philosophy: layer light, then seal
NIDA routines start watery and finish rich. A milky toner and thin serums put moisture back into the skin; creams then hold it there. Hydrators such as multiple weights of hyaluronic acid, panthenol, squalane and ceramide NP sit alongside soothing centella and ferment extracts, so actives land in a comfortable base rather than on a stripped one.
The hero ingredients
- Salmon PDRN (Sodium DNA) — a rich hydrator and conditioning agent used in modern K-beauty for smoother, firmer-looking skin. NIDA uses it at 10,000ppm.
- Centella asiatica — madecassoside and asiaticoside for skin that looks red, warm or stressed.
- Rice bran water — softening, comforting hydration and a brighter-looking finish.
- Peptides — copper tripeptide-1, acetyl hexapeptide-8 and palmitoyl peptides for a smoother, firmer appearance.
- Propolis — a nourishing bee-derived extract paired with peptides and centella.
- Niacinamide — vitamin B3 for uneven tone and refined texture; it runs through most of the range.
- Alpha-arbutin and tranexamic acid — the tone-evening pair for dark marks left behind by breakouts.
- Wild yam with vitamins A, B3, C and E — the plant-based “mucin” texture in the Youthful Formula duo.
The cleansers

The Perfect Clear Oil-to-Foam Double Cleanser does both cleansing steps in one bottle — it goes on as an oil to dissolve sunscreen and makeup, then emulsifies into a light foam with water. Jojoba oil keeps it comfortable, tea tree refreshes and rice extract adds hydration. For congestion-prone or easily irritated skin, the Centella Deep Pore Cleansing Foam is the calmer everyday option.
The toner
The Youth-Boosting Rice Milky Toner is the hydrating base layer for every NIDA routine: rice bran water for radiance, panthenol for comfort, six types of hyaluronic acid for long-lasting hydration and ceramide NP for the barrier. It is silky rather than watery, and it makes everything applied afterwards feel better.
The serums — pick one for your concern

- Salmon PDRN Peptide Serum — firmness, smoothness and intense hydration, with PDRN 10,000ppm, adenosine, peptides and caffeine.
- α-Arbutin TXA Pure Tone Serum — dark spots, post-breakout marks and uneven tone.
- Peptide Propolis Renewal Serum — barrier support, refined texture and a youthful look.
- Centella Hydrating Serum — fragrance-free hydration and soothing for reactive skin.
- Yam Mucin ABCE Boosting Serum — dullness and rough texture, with a cushioning slip.
The exfoliating duo: white rice and black rice

These two are the clearest example of how NIDA thinks. Rather than one aggressive acid, congestion is split by type. The White Rice Whitehead Exfoliating Serum pairs rice bran extract with AHA, PHA and glutathione for whiteheads, rough surface texture and barrier-friendly resurfacing. The Black Rice Blackhead Exfoliating Serum uses black rice extract with AHA, BHA and squalane for blackheads and visible congestion around the nose and chin.
The moisturisers and eye cream

The Youthful Formula Ultimate Moisturizing Cream is the everyday finish — vegetable collagen, niacinamide, centella and hyaluronic acid in a cream that suits most skin types without feeling heavy. The Yam Mucin ABCE Facial Cream is the richer, more cushioning option, and the Revive Eye Cream For Face And Neck combines a probiotic solution, retinal, peptides and bakuchiol for fine lines, puffiness and dark circles.
The sunscreen
The Invisible Fit Sun Serum is SPF50+ PA++++ with dual UV-A and UV-B protection, no white cast and a low-irritation, reef-friendly formula (oxybenzone and octinoxate free). Niacinamide, tocopherol and adenosine make it feel like a skincare step rather than a chore — which is precisely why people actually reapply it.
